Fire fighter Tim Taheri teaches a group of Sourdough Montessori pre-schoolers how to dial 911. Tim helps the kids learn their home address, and stress that if they do call 911, the dispatcher is their friend, and to follow the their instructions.
 
Fire fighters give kids a lesson to stay back from fire trucks and fire fighters when they are working. We also let the kids know that cars should pull to the right and stop when the see or hear an emergency vehicle.

When the kids see or hear a fire fighter they should call out, so the fire fighter can locate them. Scott adds that if they are able, they should move toward the fire fighter.
